大阪九条の商店街の一角に位置するサンドイッチ店の内装計画。
九条の町は、商業の町として栄えた歴史とともに、江戸時代から続くものづくりの町としての一面も持つ。古くから残る店舗や工場、住宅の外壁に貼られた様々な色のタイルや無造作に貼られた波板は、下町の歴史を伝えている。
若い世代に訴求する空間という施主の要望と同時に、九条の町に漂う居心地の良さを店内に引き込みたいと考えた。町中に散見される素材を、色・サイズ・貼り方等を再構成しながら、店内の必要な場所に配置した。
町の断片である素材を再構成した小さな空間によって、町との接続と風景の僅かな更新を試みた。

Interior design plan for a sandwich shop in Kujo, Osaka.
Kujo has a history as both a commercial hub and a center for craftsmanship since the Edo period. Its streets are lined with colored tiles and casually placed corrugated sheets on old shops, factories, and houses, reflecting its heritage.
While fulfilling the owner's request for a space appealing to the younger generation, it also aims to incorporate Kujo's cozy atmosphere into the shop. Materials seen throughout the town were reconfigured in terms of color, size, and application, and strategically placed in the shop's necessary areas.
By reconfiguring materials that are fragments of the town, a small space was created to attempt a connection with the town and a slight update to the local landscape.
